I'm Linhan Li

Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Game Design and Development at the School of Cinematic Arts, University of Southern California.

After graduating from Tsinghua University with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Technology, I joined Timi Studio at Tencent Games as a game designer for two years. There, I participated in various projects, working on game mechanisms, levels, 3C (Character, Camera, and Control), and the User-Generated Content System.

I'm always passionate about creating games that tell powerful stories for the unheard, the marginalized, and myself. I seek to explore the literary aspects of games and how player interaction dynamically affects narrative content.

I have developed diverse genres of games, including puzzle games, card games, open-world action adventures, and platformer party games.

These projects span across both PC and Mobile platforms and have been executed with a variety of teams, ranging from student groups to large-scale teams exceeding 200 members.

I am proficient in using various game engines, with a primary focus on Unreal Engine 4(blueprints) and Unity
I am familiar with industrial development pipelines and adept at quick prototyping and iteration.

At university, I undertook systematic studies in computer science. I am most familiar with C/C++ and have used Qt to develop several applications and complete courses in Data Structures and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

Additionally, I used Python for my data visualization-related thesis project. I also developed an Android news application using Java and created a game with the Cocos Creator engine in Javascript.

Currently, I am using C# to develop several games independently and in collaboration with others in Unity.

From a young age, my art education has made me highly sensitive to visuals, fueling my desire to create unique visual designs.

I create illustrations with procreate and photoshop, focusing on conveying a sense of storytelling within the imagery. I habitually use comic storyboard to document my inspirations and daily life.

Alongside game design, I also experiment with game UI design in Ai to ensure it matches the overall tone.

I use Blender as my primary tool for 3D design, utilizing it for modeling, texturing, rendering, rigging.
